  Defiantly a place for steaks. A few other options but this is a spend a little money for a big steak dinner kind of joint. They have a salad bar, which I found very "Ok" just ice berg lettuce and very plain choices. Consider it an all you can eat garden salad. It comes with the Entrees though, so for $20-$25 you can have a Steak a salad bread course and a side, so the value is fair for sure.
  
  I found the Beef very under seasoned, once I added a good bit of salt and pepper it is a solid steak but you really want to do that before searing the Beef. Really a nice big cut though, you don't feel cheated.
  
  Very old school place, a good steak dinner at a fair price.

  The Green Acres is a historic building that has the cozy feel and charm of a country inn.
  
  My dinner choice was Coquille Saint Jacques. The meal consisted of a combination of scallops and jumbo shrimp in a moray sauce. It came with a choice of potatoes or could be served over fettuccini noodles. I chose hash browns with cheese and onions. A salad bar was also included.
  
  The salad bar had a limited number of items, although everything was fresh. The Blue Cheese salad dressing was outstanding loaded with large chunks of Blue Cheese.
  
  I should have stopped with the salad because the dinner was underwhelming. There were three shrimp and three scallops covered with this soupy, tasteless “moray” sauce. The seafood was cooked fine, but there was just no favor to the sloppy sauce. Worse, the shrimp still had tails and I had to “fish” around in the sauce to get the tails off. The hash browns were also disappointing. The were well cooked and had good taste, but the cheese was a square slice of American melted on top of what appeared to be a manufactured hash brown patty. It was tasteless and unappealing.
  
  Service was good, but with limited interaction with the waiter. I do not think the waiter spoke except to take care of essential business. It was pretty much was take your order, serve your food, check to make sure everything is fine, clear the plates when finished eating, bring your bill..
  
  I left the Green Acres feeling disappointed. Although nothing was terrible, nothing stood out as outstanding. It was just ordinary and I was hoping for more.
